for IoT - Rat Bait Stations
The choice of sensors for the Rat Bait Station depends on the data we want to collect. For real time
alerts on rat activity, using motion and touch sensors combined with smart algorithm is the choice.
Before the pest controller will be alerted, the following two positive results must occur:
To alert pest technicians on refilling the rat bait,
a weight sensor would spring to mind. However, that wasn't the case. By observing the rat
activity, we can predict the level of bait left.
Due to time constrain and cost, we shall be using
the readily available NYP provided HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Sensor
and the Grove - Touch Sensor for this project.
